A big thank you to user “SuperGod” who left a comment letting us know he figured this one out. The classic PC FPS No One Lives Forever worked great on Windows 7, but had a strange issue in Windows 8 where the frame rate was capped to a disappointing 30 frames per second. Thanks to a modified direct draw DLL that you can now download, you can now play this game at full speed, even if you are running the very latest version of Windows.
We’ve updated the article with this information and also added a note about forcing on antialiasing using the ATI or Nvidia control panel, which can give the game another small boost in visual fidelity. Check out the article here.
