Update – We’ve been able to buy a little more bandwidth from our lovely hosts, meaning the site isn’t at risk of going down, and we’re starting to migrate the downloads over to external hosting sites now.
Thanks to a spike in popularity over Christmas we’ve had to temporarily disable downloads on the site as we’re approaching the bandwidth cap on our hosting plan. When I’m back at my desk I’ll move our downloads over to some free file hosting, while this will inevitably be slower, it’s the best I can do given that we already struggle to pay the bills here. If that’s not enough then I’m really not sure, I’ll have to crunch the numbers and see if it’s worth paying for more bandwidth, with adblocking so widespread these days I know we’re not the only site struggling.
Since it’s still Christmas, I’ll take this opportunity to “rattle the can” as it were, remember you can support us on Patreon, every little helps. I know this isn’t the kind of site most people use every month, but I suppose it doesn’t hurt to ask :)
